Dabriah Rice is the owner of Divine Catering & Events LLC, a locally owned and family-operated company, which has been providing trusted catering and event coordination services for over 15  years. DC&E offers Southern Style cuisine options as well as a traditional American menu and has provided catering services for many important events in the community. Some of their prestigious clients include The Dayton Arcade Open House, Miami Valley Hospital, GE Aviation, Synchrony  Financial,  Dayton Public Schools and The City of Dayton, just to name a few. 

Pursuing a career in the food industry was a natural path for Dabriah. Coming from a family of culinary artists, her love for cooking was instilled at an early age and she was encouraged to express her passion and creativity through food preparation and presentation. Her goal was to have a full-service event planning business and thus, DC&E was born. Since its inception, word has rapidly spread of her delectable food, elegant presentation, and impeccable service, making her a  strong competitor in the field of culinary arts. Her specialty is soul food, and she has adapted and enhanced her own family recipes. Her signature dishes are mouthwatering macaroni & cheese, and her own dessert creation, Strawberry Delight. 

Dabriah’s educational background includes successful completion of the culinary arts degree program at Sinclair Community College, where she is a featured Sinclair Alumnus at ‘A Vintage  Affair”. She has also successfully completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business program. 

Giving back to her community is an important act of her strong faith and she is a proud 6th-year board member and outreach coordinator for SoLoved, a project-based organization in Dayton,  committed to community outreach by conducting quarterly initiatives such as food and clothing drives, offering emotional and spiritual support and teaching the word of God. This year, Dabriah will serve as board President of SoLoved, whose focal scripture is John 3:16, For God so loved the world…Our mission is HE gave, so we give! 

In 2020, Dabriah's humanitarian spirit prompted her to launch the Divine Catering & Events  Scholarship fund. Her aim is to provide students the opportunity to acquire the skills and training needed to pursue a rewarding career in the Hospitality and Culinary Arts industry. In her experience,  creating delicious dishes, experimenting with various flavor combinations, and watching the satisfaction in the customer's eyes is the mission of every professional chef. 

Dabriah attends Revival Center Ministries International where she serves alongside her amazing husband, Darryll Rice who is the Youth Pastor. They have two beautiful daughters, Demi & Denim.
